Halloween spirit at Leal’s Mexican Restaurant

The staff at Leal’s Mexican Restaurant in Muleshoe got into the Halloween spirit on October 31, 2017. Employees dressed to the occasion and treated their customers to a spooktacular meal.

Beta Sigma Phi Celebrates Octoberfest

Xi Omicron Xi and Zeta Rho chapters of Beta Sigma Phi met on Tuesday, October 17th at the Bailey County Electric Meeting Room for their annual Octoberfest dinner. Members enjoyed a meal of Mexican Pile-on followed by desserts of Key lime and lemon-meringue pies.

Marion Lecil Richards

Marion Lecil Richards passed this life on October 23, 2017 in Lubbock, TX at the age of 89 years. Marion was born on September 18, 1928 at the family farm in Dora, NM to Robert L. Richards and Bessie Avelyn Bennett Richards.
He graduated from Dora High School in 1944 and began teaching and coaching in Causey, NM in 1944 at the age of 18. Marion played basketball and football in high school and for Eastern New Mexico University where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Education. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Western New Mexico University in 1961.

Band and Choir hold first concert

The Watson Junior High Beginning band and choir students recently held their first choir concert on October 29, 2017  at the Muleshoe High School Auditorium.
