New members approved for Bailey County Welfare Board

Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session in the Bailey County Courthouse on Monday, Dec. 11. Attending were County Judge Sherri Harrison, Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Slayden, Precinct 3 Commissioner Cody Black, Precinct 4 Commissioner Juan Chavez and County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioners Court.
Slayden moved and Gartin seconded a motion to review and approve the addition of Tommie Stiles, Ashley Turnbow and Becky McDaniel as Bailey County Child Welfare Board members. Motion carried unanimously.
In other action:
n Minutes of the previous meetings on Nov. 27 were approved.
n County bills were approved and payment ordered. Gartin abstained from West Texas Gas bills.
n Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion to approve County Treasurer’s Report of October 2017. Motion carried unanimously.
n Gartin moved and Chavez seconded a motion to review and approve schedule of in-county travel forms for November. Motion carried unanimously.
n Black moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approve Soil Conservation Worksheets in accordance with Sec.201.501 of the Agriculture Code: Terry Sowder $125. Motion carried unanimously.
n Departmental reports were reviewed. There were no grant funds received to approve for the prior month. The Court received Daily Equipment Inspection reports from the precincts for the month of November.
n Gartin moved and Chavez seconded a motion to review and approve 2018 Bailey County Employee Holiday Schedule. Motion carried unanimously.
