City Announcement

In the coming weeks, the City of Muleshoe, the Muleshoe Independent School District and the Muleshoe Area Hospital District will be ordering their General Elections. Election Day is Saturday, May 5, 2018. All voting will take place at City Hall.
The City of Muleshoe will be holding a general election to elect Mayor currently held by Cliff Black and a special election to elect Council Member District 2 which is currently vacant.
The Muleshoe Independent School District School Board will elect Board members for District 1 currently held by Jay Cage, and District 4 currently held by Sergio Leal.
The Muleshoe Area Hospital District Board has three seats up for election. Board members for Place 1, currently vacant, Place 3, currently held by Landon Nichols and Place 5, currently held by Zona Gatewood will be elected.
For those who wish to run for office, candidate packets are available for pickup from the City Secretary’s office at City Hall. The first day to file for a place on the general election ballot is Wednesday, January 17, 2018 and the last day to file is Friday, February 16, 2018.
The last day that an individual may register to vote in the General Election is Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Early voting for all elections will be held at City Hall, 215 South 1st, from 8 – 5 beginning Monday, April 23, 2018 and ending on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Extended hours for early voting from 7 – 7 will be held on Tuesday, April 24 and Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
