Keslynn Thompson 4 yrs old of Portales, NM , daughter of Tiffany Kendrick, is a frequent visitor with Kerri Smith to Park View Nursing Home. She has made friends with several of the residents, while visiting Elta Stroud. Upon one of her visits a resident was restless and crying out, so she let her hold her baby doll and the change was instant on how calm this lady became, at this point with discussion we could see a need these babies would fill.

So the wheels started turning on the decision to collect doll donations from Facebook friends, some have giving dolls to be refurbished and to be gifted to the nursing home, some have donated money to purchase a doll, also accepting stuffed animals, such as dogs, rabbits, etc. to be able to accommodate the men and women residents. The items are going to be set up in a library situation to be on display for the residents to browse and check out the item of choice and then to be returned for others to enjoy.

Park View Nursing Home is Keslynn’s first project location, with future plans of Portales and Farwell Nursing Homes.

All donations of new, gently used, life size, soft bodied dolls or gently used stuffed animals such as dogs, rabbits, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Project name is Keslynn’s Reloveables 575-607-5147 or 575-777-3526
