The Muleshoe High School Junior Varsity tennis team traveled to Levelland to compete in the SPCHEA Tennis Tournament. Carter McCamish won the gold medal in Boys Singles by defeating Seagraves 8-0, Sundown 8-3, and Sundown 8-5. Kevin Chavez also earned a gold medal in singles by defeating Dimmitt 8-1 and Plainview Christian 8-3.

Derek Barron and Kelan Florez won the silver medal in Boys Doubles. They defeated Dimmitt 8-2 and Littlefield 8-2.

Laura Chavez earned the gold medal in Girls Singles by defeating Plains 8-3, Littlefield 8-1, and SPCHEA 8-7. Anna Phillips only played in two matches and defeated Dimmitt 8-2 and Dimmitt 8-5.

Katelyn Kelley and Danielle Moran teamed up to earn the gold medal in Girls Doubles. They defeated Morton 8-0, Sundown 8-8, 7-3 in a tiebreaker. Jazzy Sanchez and Karely Vasquez lost to Cotton Center 6-8 and Christ the King 4-8.

Brendon Rodriguez and Alexis Campos won the gold medal in Mixed Doubles. They defeated SPCHEA 8-4, SPCHEA 8-6, and SPCHEA 8-6.

The tennis team is on Spring Break and will return to action after the school break.
