Commissioners discuss emergency preparedness for large events

Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session in the Bailey County Courthouse on Monday, March 12. Attending were County Judge Sherri Harrison, Precinct 1 Commissioner Gary Don Gartin, Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Slayden, Precinct 3 Commissioner Cody Black and Precinct 4 Commissioner Juan Chavez

County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioners Court, was absent.

All motions carried unanimously.

Minutes of the previous meeting on Feb. 26 were approved.

County bills were approved and payment ordered.

Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to approve the county treasurer’s report for January.

Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to approve in-county travel forms.

Slayden moved and Black seconded a motion to approve soil conservation worksheets in accordance with §201.151 of the Agriculture Code: R&M Cattle $140

Slayden moved and Black seconded a motion to authorize the replacement of obsolete E-Poll pads used for voting and the purchase of I-Pad poll pads.

Departmental reports were reviewed.
