Eighth-grade Mules place fourth in district meet

The eighth-grade Mules placed fourth in the District 2-3A Track Meet held on the Mules home track April 5.

The Mules scored 43 points in the meet. Friona won with 238 points, Dimmitt was second with 181 points, and Littlefield finished third with 111 points.

s started. Alexis Alvidrez had a silver medal toss of 35-08.00 in the shot put.

Juan Zacarias placed sixth in the shot put with a toss of 31-07.50.

Barron placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of two minutes and 31.68 seconds.

Zacarias ran a bronze medal time of 12.63 in the 100-meter dash.

Barron finished sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.06.

Zacarias claimed his second bronze medal of the day in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.84. Bryson Woodard placed sixth in the same event with a 27.78.

Barron, Victor Morales, Alex Regalado, and Zacarias teamed up in the 4×400-meter relay and placed fourth with a time of 4:13.68.
