Annual contribution to Black Water Soil and Water Conservation approved

Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session in the Bailey County Courthouse on Monday, April 9. Attending were County Judge Sherri Harrison, Precinct 1 Commissioner Gary Don Gartin, Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Slayden, Precinct 3 Commissioner Cody Black, Precinct 4 Commissioner Juan Chavez and County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioners Court.

Minutes of the previous meetings on March 26 were approved.

Black moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approve and order payment of county bills. Gartin abstained – West Texas Gas. Motion passed.

Slayden moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approved the County Treasurer’s Report for February 2018.
Motion passed unanimously.

Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to approve the March 2018 In-County Travel forms. Motion passed unanimously.

No soil conservation worksheets were submitted for approval. Departmental reports were reviewed. Motion passed unanimously.

Slayden moved and Black seconded a motion to approve a rate change for the Soil Conservation Worksheets. Motion passed unanimously.

Black moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approve annual contribution of $2,000 to Black Water Soil and Water Conservation. Motion passed unanimously.

Slayden moved and Gartin seconded a motion to approve County Treasurer’s Presentation and Request to add District Clerk Becky Espinoza to Signature Card for Becky Espinoza to administer any legal and lawful banking transaction concerning the office of Bailey County District Clerk. Motion passed unanimously.

Gartin moved and Slayden seconded a motion to approve County Treasurer’s Presentation and Request to add Deputy Treasurer Tracy Torres to Signature Card authorizing approval for Tracy Torres to administer any legal and lawful banking transaction concerning the office of Bailey County Justice of the Peace. Motion passed unanimously.

The commission discussed a presentation by Chavez concerning Bailey County precinct cell phones.
