The regular meeting of Muleshoe Hospital District was held Thursday, May 24. Attending were board members Allen Smyer, Landon Nichols, Dana Rasco, Zona Gatewood and Gayle Richerson; employees Jodi Vidana, Dennis Fleenor, Shonnee Geissler of Muleshoe Area Medical Center; Rosie Rendon, Mandy Whiteaker and Hope Alvarez of Park View Nursing Care Center.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved along with financial and statistical reports.
The oath of office was administered to Gayle Richerson, Place 1; Landon Nichols, Place 3 and Zona Gatewood, Place 5.
Allen Smyer was re-elected as president, Landon Nichols was re-elected as vice-president and Dana Rasco was re-elected as secretary.
In other action:
The board approved financing for the Muleshoe Area Medical Center lab equipment.
The board made a motion to open up for suggestions for bids on how to proceed with the demolition of the old nursing home.
The June 28 board meeting time was changed to 12 p.m., 2018 Board Meeting for Preferred Management to Present Hospital Financials-Info/Action item.
