Jose V. Jimenez, 71, of Muleshoe, TX died Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Clovis, NM. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, July 22, 2018 at The Chapel 1500 Thornton, Clovis, NM. A Rosary will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton, Clovis, NM. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, July 23, 2018 at The Chapel with Lupe Jimenez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Harvey Jimenez, Alvaro Jimenez, Junior Jimenez, Dimas Acosta, Catalino Acosta, and Issac Acosta will serve as pallbearers. His nieces and nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
Jose was born March 18, 1942 in Carrizo, Mexico to Genovevo Jimenez and Josefita Villa Jimenez. He was a cowboy who enjoyed hunting, traveling, welding, dancing, listening to music, playing the guitar, singing, and spending time with his family. Jose collected coins and rocks.
Survivors include: his two sons; Jose Luis (Ruth) Jimenez of Palmdale, CA, and Jesus (Brenda) Jimenez of Odessa, TX, two daughters; Lucy (Cesar) Nunez of San Jose, CA, and Edith (Johnny) Trujillo of Clovis, NM, mother of his children; Dora A. Parada of Ft. Hancock, TX, sisters; Manuela Acosta of Clovis, NM, 14 grandchildren; Nyssa, Cassandra (Jeremy), Milagros, Adrianna, Little J (Holly), Maurice (Celena), Michaelangelo, Orlando, Robby, Jesse Jr., Damian, Estrella, Cain, and Shane, five great-grandchildren; Alyese, Tyler, Eathan, Angel, Urijah, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Genovevo and Josefita Jimenez, two wives; Yolanda Flores and Sylvia Baragan, and four brothers and sisters.
