Church service for Vickie Freeman Garner, age 68, of Muleshoe, Texas, was scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 16th & D Church of Christ in Muleshoe with Curtis Shelburne of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Vickie died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Muleshoe. She was born May 6, 1950 in Portales, New Mexico to Harold and Evelyn (Wall) Freeman. She married Ronnie Garner in Muleshoe on March 16, 1968.
Vickie was a bookkeeper for Winkler Meat Co. for many years before working at Muleshoe ISD. She enjoyed fishing, bingo and spending time at Ute Lake. Vickie was an avid Texas Ranger and Dallas Cowboy fan. She was a member of 16th & D Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Ronnie; her son, Rammie Garner of Muleshoe, Texas; her daughter, Sheila Thomas and her husband, Lee of Grady, New Mexico; her sister, Laquita Freeman of Muleshoe, Texas; her brother, Hershel Freeman and his wife, Lori of Hawaii; five grandchildren, Tessa and her husband, Zach, Kyan, Paige, Dalton and Brenna; and one great-grandchild, Addison.
