Muleshoe Mini Mule Camp will be 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 14-16 in the Commons Area. Ages 4 through fith grade can participate. Registration packet can be picked up at the High School office beginning Aug. 6.

City to swear in new police chief

City Manager LeAnn Gallman has selected Gary McHone to be the police chief for Muleshoe. The Muleshoe City Council approved the City Manager’s selection at a special council meeting held Monday, Aug. 6.
McHone began his law enforcement career in the United States Air Force Security Police as a law enforcement

Commissioners to hold special session

Bailey County Commissioner’s Court will meet in Special Session at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9.
The following items are on the agenda:
• Budget workshop
• Adjourn into Executive Session in accordance with Section 551.074(a)(1) of the Government Code to deliberate personnel matters regarding various employee positions
• Return into open session
