Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session in the Bailey County Courthouse on Monday, Aug. 13. Attending were County Judge Sherri Harrison, Precinct 1 Commissioner Gary Don Gartin, Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Slayden, Precinct 3 Commissioner Cody Black, Precinct 4 Commissioner Juan Chavez and County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioners Court.
All motions carried unanimously.
Minutes of the previous meetings on July 23 were approved.
County Treasurer’s Report for July 2018 was approved.
In-County Travel forms for July were approved.
Departmental reports were reviewed.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to approve soil conservation worksheets, in accordance with §201.151 of the Agriculture Code.

Slayden moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approve appointment of election judges and alternates for term of Aug. 1, 2018, through July 31, 2020.
Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion to approve $5,000 bond for Bailey County Justice of the Peace Rodney Baker.
Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to authorize use of county road machinery and equipment for soil conservation and the prevention of soil conservation and the prevention of soil waste through erosion as authorized.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to authorize the county judge and county clerk to sign the Interlocal Agreement between Muleshoe ISD and Bailey County to provide EMS services at home football games.
A budget workshop was held.
Gartin moved and Slayden seconded a motion to propose less than the effective tax rate of M&O .709, I&S .0910 for a total of .80 and .1312 for FM for a total of .9312 and take a record vote.
