Judge requested to sign meal program grant authorization

Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday, Aug. 27. Present were County Judge Sherri Harrison; Commissioner Gary Don Gartin, Precinct 1; Commissioner Mike Slayden, Precinct 2; Commissioner Cody Black, Precinct 3; Commissioner Juan Chavez, Precinct 4; and County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioner’s Court.
All motions carried unanimously.
Minutes of the meetings held Aug. 9, Aug. 13 and Aug. 16 were approved.
Gartin moved and Chavez seconded a motion to order payment of county bills.
No soil conservation worksheets were submitted for approval.
Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion authorizing the county judge to sign Resolution Authorizing County Grant for Home-Delivered Meal Program.
Gartin moved and Slayden seconded a motion to authorize Easement for Water Line submitted by Ricky Black.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to approve Bailey County Exhibition Center & Coliseum Facility Rental Agreement.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to authorize the county judge to sign Appriss Safety Vine Service Agreement #1876531-2018.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to authorize the county judge to sign County Child Welfare Services Non-Financial Agreement.
County Attorney Jackie Claborn discussed Mule Days 2019 asking that the Commission consider using Economic Development funds of $3,000 to assist with the June 2019 event. Proposal died for lack of motion.
Dr. R.L. Richards, MISD superintendent, discussed Interlocal Agreement with Bailey County EMS and Muleshoe ISD.
A Budget Workshop was conducted.
