The Muleshoe Country Club Ladies Association meeting was held September 19, 2018. President Jana St. Clair called the meeting to order with fifteen members present.
A meal of assorted pizza, garden salad, pumpkin cake, pecan tarts and coconut caramel pecan pie was prepared by Linda Erdmann, Kay Field and Kim Hunt. Birthdays recognized for September were Jeanetta Precure and Sandi Chitwood. Treena Matthews, High Plains Chairman, reported four ladies attended High Plains at Tulia Country Club; Tammy Black, Linda Erdmann, Treena Matthews and Brenna Shipman. There was one winner, Linda Erdmann, 3rd Flight- Low Gross, with a score of 97.
The last High Plains Play Day will be held October 3, 2018 at Dimmitt Country Club, those eligible players are Tammy Black, Treena Matthews, Linda Erdmann, Ashley Pool, Christie Whitt and Brenna Shipman. You have to play three times to be eligible.
Play Day Chairman, Ashley Pool, reported Wednesday winners; July 25th Low Scores, Kay Field and Jeanetta Precure. August 1st Low putts, Treena Matthews and Shelly Turmbow. August 29th scramble front 9 and 100 yard dash back nine, Treena Matthews, Kay Field and Pat Kirk. September 12th best score on par 3’s Kay Field.
Our annual Memorial Tournament was held after lunch with eleven ladies participating; Pat Kirk, Tammy Black, Kay Field, Jeanetta Precure, Linda Erdmann, Christie Whitt, Deborah Noble, Treena Matthews, Ashely Pool, Kim Hunt and Jana St. Clair. Ashley Pool won with a score of 62. Format was total score minus your handicap. There were three ladies playing Shanghai; Marlene Martin, Anita Black and Janet Claborn. Marlene Martin was the winner. Our next meeting will be held Oct. 17.
