Rep. Ken King calls for solutions, not mandates

District 88 Rep. Ken King (R) serves on the House Public Education Committee and is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Education Quality. This means that schools are as much on his mind as they are on the minds of the Muleshoe citizens that he addressed at a recent town hall meeting.

Voters have option to modify project scope for EDC

On Nov. 6 the City of Muleshoe voters will have the option to modify the scope of projects for the Muleshoe Economic Development Corporation.
The Development Corporation Act of 1979 gives cities the ability to finance new and expanded business enterprises in their local communities through Economic Development Corporations (EDCs). Within the Act, a city may form a Type A, Type B or both.

Bara, age 93, of Vernon, Texas and formerly of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Rodriguez of Clovis, New Mexico officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Jacinto died Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Vernon.

Church service for Daniel Guzman Mejia, age 63, of Muleshoe, Texas, was scheduled for 11:00 AM, October 5, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Philip Pasupil officiating. Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at the Bailey County Cemetery. Daniel died
