Daniel Guzman Mejia

Church service for Daniel Guzman Mejia, age 63, of Muleshoe, Texas, was scheduled for 11:00 AM, October 5, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Philip Pasupil officiating. Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at the Bailey County Cemetery. Daniel died Sunday, September 30, 2018 in Muleshoe. He was born March 14, 1955 in Purisima de Rincon Guanajuto Mexico.
Daniel graduated from Muleshoe High School. He attended West Texas University, Boulder University and Texas Tech University. He worked for the Texas Banking Department as a bank examiner, worked for King Ag and Aviation in Sudan and was a truck driver for many years. Daniel also served as the Bailey County Justice of the Peace, was a member of the Muleshoe ISD school board and the Muleshoe Roadriders Motorcycle Club. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Antonia Guzman.
Daniel is survived by his son, Bobby Guzman of Muleshoe, Texas; his sister, Rosa Guzman Nieto of Texico, New Mexico; his five brothers, Jose Guzman Mejia of Calexio, California, Javier Guzman Mejia of Mexico, Filemon Guzman Mejia of Muleshoe, Texas, Raymond Guzman Mejia of Amarillo, Texas and Mateo Guzman Mejia of Muleshoe,Texas; and one grandson, Reynaldo Guzman.
