Justin Kiechler, with The Kiechler Law Firm, handles criminal defense and personal injury cases throughout the South Plains. On Oct. 10 at the Lubbock Area Bar Association’s monthly meeting, Justin Kiechler was honored as the John Crews Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year for 2018. It was presented to him by Christina Richey, Equal Justice Volunteer Program Coordinator, with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas (LANWT). He was selected for the award due to volunteering at the pro-bono clinics hosted by LANWT and by accepting case referrals from LANWT. It is the mission of LANWT to ensure equal justice for people living in poverty through the provision of high-quality legal representation and to improve the lives of poor people through the rule of law. Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas (LANWT) is a nonprofit organization that provides free representation on civil cases to low-income people throughout North and West Texas.
LANWT’s staff attorneys provides free civil legal services to income-eligible residents in 114 Texas counties.
