MISD Superintendent

At the recent October school board meeting, Lily Martinez, Ethan Clapp and Ricky Diaz were honored along with Coach Bridgette Wall for advancing past District 1-3A Competition to Regionals. Three fierce competitors with a motivational coach accepted the strong challenge and endured the Regional competition. On the morning of October 22, Mr. Bessire, Mr. Hill, Coach Walker, Mr. Barber, Mrs. Wheat, the Cheer Team and Band organized an inspiring SENDOFF! The entire student body cheered as Lily, Ethan and Ricky prepared to leave. Cheerleader chants, Coach Wall’s speech and humble spirits guided our Cross Country Regional Finalists as they entered the suburban.
The Lord provided the energy and strength as Lily, Ethan and Ricky competed. All three competed very well and were close to advancing. However, Ricky Diaz ran a great race and advanced to State! Advancing to any State Competition in Texas is huge, and we commend Ricky and his family on this honor.
Mrs. Dora Diaz, Ricky’s mother, on Tuesday morning said, “We are still on Cloud Nine! I am so proud of him!”
Muleshoe is proud of all our student athletes as the daily training, skill development and character building is all part of becoming a great citizen of Muleshoe.
