Gladys Marie Wimberley

Gladys Marie Wimberley, 99, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home in Granbury. She was a former resident of both Graham and Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Gladys was born February 10, 1919 in Clarksville, Arkansas to the late Solon Lemley and Bessie Jane (Wilhelm) Brown. She married H.E. Wimberley on October 26, 1934 in Crosbyton and he preceded her in death August 26, 1999. H.E. and Gladys were engaged in farming in the Muleshoe area from 1934-1963 and in Vega from 1963-1970. Gladys was in real estate sales and retired from Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Wichita Falls.
Survivors include: daughter, Coriene Grimsley and husband, Mark of Levelland ; sons, Lon Wimberley and wife, Eleane of Granbury and Gerald Wimberley and wife, Natalia of Wichita Falls; brothers, Richmond Brown and wife, Kay of Tyler; Donald Brown of Sulpher Springs; and sister, Wilma Young of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and caretaker, Donna Taylor of Granbury.
She was preceded in death by a son, M.L. Wimberley; brothers, Autry Brown and Harold Glen Brown; grandson, Mike Grimsley; and great-grandson, Trey Oakley.
