The Junior Varsity Lady Mules basketball team took on the Hale Center Owls in their season opener this past Saturday. The Lady Mules took over the courts in the contest with a final score of Lady Mules 50, Lady Owls 12.
Leading the Lady Mules offensively was Valeria Carriega with eight points. The Lady Mules had four other players score six points each; Heather Chavez, Jordan Zapata, Carina Sianez, and Jocelyn Ramirez. Katelyn Kelly and Kristina Arzola were able to put in five points apiece.
The Lady Mules will travel to Idalou, Texas to face the Lady Wildcats on Saturday at 1 p.m.
