Commissioners set dates to receive bids to auction off surplus items

Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session at the Courthouse at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22. Present were Precinct 1 Commissioner Gary Don Gartin, Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Slayden, Precinct 3 Commissioner Cody Black, Precinct 4 Commissioner Juan Chavez, and County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioners Court.
County Judge Sherri Harrison was absent.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion approving the minutes of the meeting held on Oct. 9. Motion carried unanimously.
Chavez moved and Gartin seconded a motion to approve and order payment of county bills. Motion carried unanimously.
No soil conservation worksheets were submitted for approval.
Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to approve the FY 2018 Forfeitures as presented by Charlotte Marrufo, District Attorney’s office. Motion carried unanimously.
Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to set opening date as Monday, Oct. 29, and closing date as Tuesday, Nov. 20, to receive bids to auction off surplus items of Bailey County and set Monday, Nov. 26, for opening sealed bids received. Motion carried unanimously.
Department reports were reviewed.
Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion to approve the audit of criminal asset, State Forfeitures for Oct. 1, 2017, through Sept. 30 as presented by Chief Deputy Julian Dominguez. Motion carried
unanimously.
Commissioners considered approving resolution regarding incarcerated inmates in Bailey County at Medicaid rates. No action was taken.
Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to approve Easement Agreement — Ronnie Altman, 8 inch waterline, intersection of County Road 1018 and County Road 1031, 1/4 mile south. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners adjourned into Executive Session in accordance with Section §551.074(a)(1) of the government code to deliberate personnel matters regarding EMS duties and responsibilities of employees.
Commissioners returned to Open Session.
Commissioners considered approving policies and procedure changes for Bailey County EMS. No action was taken.
