The Muleshoe Fire Department received a call to a house fire at 11:29 a.m. Monday morning. Firefighters were clear from the scene at 2:02 p.m. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
No one was hurt, but the Carracas family lost everything they have. They are in need of the following donations, according to neighbor Vanessa Lucas.
Mother – XL tops, size 13 jeans, size 9 shoes
Husband – XL tops, size 34/33 jeans, 10.5 shoes
Daughter – high school sophomore – S/M tops, size 4 jeans, 8.5 shoes
Son, 12 – M/L tops, size 10/12 pants, size 7 shoes
Son, 7 – S/M tops, size 7/8 jeans, size 1 shoes
The family has found a place to stay and is also in need of household furniture and appliances.
“Thanks so much, everyone!” Lucas said in a Facebook post. “Let’s show them we’re a community and we are here for them!”
A GoFundMe link has been set up at: https://www.gofundme.com/carrega-family.
