The City of Muleshoe held a Special Election on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Citizens voted either for or against the following resolution:
To dissolve the existing City of Muleshoe Type A Economic Development Corporation and abolish its sales and use tax (being at the rate of one-quarter of one percent) and, concurrently, authorize the creation of a City of Muleshoe Type B Economic Development Corporation and the adoption of a sales and use tax at the rate of one-quarter of one percent to undertake authorized projects as described in Chapters 501 and 505 of the Texas Local Government Code.
The results of the City of Muleshoe Special Election are:
For – 109
Against – 18
