Bailey County Commissioners Court met in regular session at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 in the Courthouse. Unofficial minutes follow.
Present were County Judge Sherri Harrison; Precinct 1 Commissioner Gary Don Gartin; Precinct 2 Commissioner Mike Slayden; Precinct 3 Commissioner Cody Black; Precinct 4 Commissioner Juan Chavez; and County Clerk Robin Dickerson, ex-officio clerk of Commissioners Court.
Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the Nov. 26 meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Gartin moved and Black seconded a motion to approve and order payment of county bills. Motion carried.
Chavez moved and Black seconded a motion to review and approve schedule of In-County travel forms for November. Motion carried unanimously.
There were no soil conservation worksheets for approval in accordance with Sec. 201.501 of the Agriculture Code.
Departmental reports were reviewed. There were no grant funds to approve for the prior month. Daily Equipment Inspections were received from the precincts for the month of November.
Black moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approve fiscal year-end 2018 Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried unanimously.
Gartin moved and Slayden seconded a motion to adopt resolution in opposition to unfunded mandates. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners reviewed contracts and rates for Coliseum rental and considered adopting the changes effective immediately.
Slayden moved and Black seconded a motion to sign verification of materials received from TXDOT for the County Assistance Program FY 2019. Motion carried unanimously.
Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion to ratify county judge’s signature for equipment lease by county for Precinct 4 for a 2019 John Deere 672 G Motor grader with serial number 1DW672GXAJF692969. The lease is with Stewart Cobb with First National Bank Leasing. Motion carried unanimously.
Gartin moved and Slayden seconded a motion authorizing the County Judge’s signature for equipment lease by county for Precinct 1 for a 1982 John Deere tractor. This lease is with Stewart Cobb with First National Bank Leasing. Motion carried unanimously.
Black moved and Gartin seconded a motion to authorize Harrison to sign memorandum of understanding between Bailey County and the City of Muleshoe Emergency Mobile Command Vehicle. Motion carried unanimously.
Black moved and Chavez seconded a motion to approve official Bond and Oath #72095702 for Maria Guadalupe Pineda in the amount of $7,000. Motion carried unanimously.
Black moved and Slayden seconded a motion to act on order authorizing partial redemption of Bailey County Texas limited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2012, and authorize and approve other matters related thereto. Motion carried unanimously.
