Abrham Posadas was commissioned as an officer of the United States Marine Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant on December 22, 2018. Requirements to be commissioned include graduating with a bachelor’s degree and completing a 10-week officer candidate school (OCS).
Posadas completed 10 weeks of OCS in Quantico, Virginia, in the summer of 2016. Candidates are evaluated and screened for leadership, moral, mental and physical qualities required for commissioning.
Posadas also graduated from Texas Tech University on December 15, 2018, with a degree in Personal Finance Planning.
Posadas is the son of Robert and Agnes Posadas of Canyon, Texas, and the grandson of Alphonso and Margarita Posadas of Muleshoe, Texas, and the late Trinidad Lopez and Josephine Lopez, formerly of Muleshoe, Texas, now of Canyon, Texas.
