Pictured are the participants of Texas Lions Club Opportunities for Youth Contest. Each participant submitted an essay with two categories to choose from; Diabetes Awareness and Outstanding Youth Award “ Be the Change you want to see in the World”. All participants have advanced to district to compete in the Mid-Winter Conference this Saturday, January 19th, in Shallowater. This is the first time the Muleshoe Lions Club had anyone local to participate in this contest. Mercy Manzanares (Outstanding Youth Award) and Marisol Flores (Diabetes Awareness) received a scholarship of $250.00.
