Muleshoe’s 5th grade performed their last Elementary Deshazo halftime show Tuesday, January 29th.  

Candidates sign up for slot on City of Muleshoe ballot

Three candidates have signed up for a place on the ballot for the City of Muleshoe election, according to City Secretary Zanea Carpenter.
Lupe Mendoza, incumbent, has signed up for District 2. Juan Chavez and Colt Ellis for District 1.
The last day to sign up is Friday, Feb. 15. For those who wish to run for office, candidate packets are available for pickup from the City Secretary’s office at City Hall.
The last day that an individual may register to vote in the General Election is Thursday, April 4, 2019.

Muleshoe High Robotics team takes championship, moves on to Regionals

In its first year of competition on Saturday, Muleshoe High School Robotics gained a place on the Alliance Championship team. Along with Lubbock Cooper and New Home, Muleshoe will compete at the West Texas Regional Championship from 1 p.m. till about 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.

US senators, governor release letter urging speedy hurricane relief

On Monday, the offices of U.S. Senators John Cornyn, Ted Cruz and Gov. Greg Abbott released a letter addressed to Acting Director Russ Vought of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) urging him to “expedite issuance of the rules and regulations governing the Community Development Block Grants–Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) appropriated by Congress one year ago so Texas can receive over $4.3 billion for flood mitigation projects to prevent future storm damage.”
