Keeping up with the Seniors

Karen O’Connor, award winning author of some forty books, has recently released. “Getting Old Ain’t for Wimps.” If you haven’t read this book, I encourage you to do so. It is filled with wit and wisdom with real life stories.
The stories in it exemplify those seniors I work with daily—those seniors who portray a courageous existence and affirm that life will always be filled with wonder, newness, and adventure if only you will allow it to happen.
Please come and share sometime with these individuals and see what we have to offer at the Muleshoe Senior Center. We’d love to have you join us.

This past week, one of our seniors, Mary Nell Bleeker turned 92. Mary Nell’s family honored her with a special birthday cake for everyone to enjoy. We hope Mary Nell has many more happy birthdays.
This Friday, March 8th, Jack and Deb Stone will entertain at the Center during the lunch hour beginning at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy this duo who has become well know celebrities.
Saturday, March 16th we will have a pancake breakfast from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. We would love for everyone to come out and enjoy the food and fellowship. See the ad in this week’s paper for more information.
