Mule Day & Kickin’ Nights concert

The Mule Days & Kickin’ Nights Committee in conjunction with Muleshoe Country Club and the City of Muleshoe would like to thank K&K Pharmacy and Tireworks Tire Pros for being the Diamond Sponsors of the 2018 2nd Annual Mule Days & Kickin’ Nights. To show our appreciation they are being presented with framed posters of the 2018 concert signed by the headliners of the 2018 concert, Reckless Kelly and Micky & the Motorcars. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, everyone who attended the concert, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Because of the great support of the people of Muleshoe, including our sponsors and attendees, Mule Days and Kickin’ Nights, has been able to donate over $16,000.00 to local Muleshoe charities in the first two years of this event.

In addition, we are happy to announce that the 3rd Annual Mule Days & Kickin’ Nights will be held again this year at the Muleshoe Country Club on June 29, 2019. We are very excited to announce that this year’s concert will feature two great bands from right here in the Texas Panhandle. This year’s opener will be The Drake Hayes Band (www.drakehayesband.com) out of Lubbock. Drake is an up and coming artist who has already hit Number One on the Texas Country Charts with his single No Where Texas. And we are thrilled to announce this year’s headliner will be Shotgun Rider (www.shotgunridermusic.com). Shotgun Rider traces its roots to Castro County and the small towns of Dimmitt and Nazareth. Rolling Stone predicts, “if Midland’s ‘Drinkin’ Problem’ helped reintroduce trad-country sounds to country radio, then Shotgun Rider are arriving at just the right time”. Their lead single, Me and a Memory, spent ten weeks as the Number One most streamed song on Spotify in the Texas Music category.
This year the gates will open at 5 p.m., with Drake Hayes taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. and Shotgun Rider going on stage at 10 p.m. Just like last year, the concert will include a great firework show put on by the Muleshoe Volunteer Fire Department. All beverages will be sold on site with several fantastic food trucks to feed your appetite. This year we will again be offering a free shuttle to and from all Muleshoe Hotels/Motels. We will continue to celebrate our active military and first responders by offering them half-price tickets. For updates on ticket sales and any news about the concert, please follow our Mule Days & Kickin’ Nights Facebook page. Again, thanks to Muleshoe and to everyone that has help make this concert possible.
