We invite everyone to stop by our Senior Citizen’s Center on Thursday, the 4th of July. Our decorating committee has the place bursting with red, white, and blue. We will be open our normal hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and what a day we have planned! Everyone is welcome to stop by, visit and help us celebrate our freedom.
The center is always a great place to watch the parade. And after the parade you can take part in our 15th Annual Bar BQ Brisket meal. This is held annually as a fundraiser to keep our Center operating. We will be serving Bar BQ brisket, beans, choice of baked potato or potato salad, corn bread and fruit cobbler. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 per person or 8 years and younger $6.00.
We are raffling off three (3) Craftsman M270 propelled electronic start gas lawn mowers. Three (3) lawn mowers will be raffled that day, allowing you three chances to win. We are also raffling off a chance for a $1,000.00 shopping spree. All drawings will be held approximately 2:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. You do not have to be present to win.
We will also be conducting a silent auction of home baked pies, cakes, and goodies. All will be prepared by our very own Senior Ladies. Company coming over the weekend?.. Just come and bid on our desserts and save yourself some time and effort.
Our Senior Center has functioned successfully for more than fifteen years. Funds come from various sources. We hope you chose to spend some of your 4th of July celebrating with us!
We can promise you good food, lots of fun and maybe a winning ticket!
