The newest story on earth is the story of aging. Both in raw numbers and as a proportion of the world’s population, there are more people over 50 alive today than ever before. How do I know? I just received and read every word in my AARP Magazine. A favorite of mine, the AARP stories are always well written and documented.
This particular 2019 June magazine features a photo special where 22 photographers, captured how we live longer and better around the globe. The special is called “A New Age.” The documentary with each picture only serves to remind us that age is a gift. Whether we’re 60 or 104—only we have control over how that gift is received and used.
It would be well worth your effort to take time and enjoy the various scenes of aging. There just happens to be a copy at our Senior Center you can look at. We are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. You are always welcome!
