Robert Allen Berry, 82, of Amarillo died Monday, October 7, 2019 in Amarillo.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with George Hall, officiating. Burial with US Army Honors will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Robert was born October 26, 1936 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Thomas and Ona Mae Perkins Berry. He was a proud US Army veteran and was an electrician prior to his retirement. He had been a resident of Muleshoe before moving to Amarillo 35 years ago. He married Laura Ann Whitaker on March 8, 1990 in Amarillo. He loved to socialize and being around people. He was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Berry, Jr.; and a brother, Glen Berry.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Berry of Amarillo; a son, Jimmy Berry of Needmore; four daughters, Michelle Snell of Millsap, Elizabeth Berry of Mineral Wells, Linda Tosh and Robin Berry both of Muleshoe; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

The family request memorials be sent to the American Heart Association.
