If you have ever been in our Senior Citizen’s Center, you’ve probably seen pictures with biographies mounted on the walls. Come and look closely at them. There, you will probably find your great grandparents, grandparents, parents, neighbors and friends. These biographies and pictures all have dual purposes. First purpose is to honor our area pioneers in an impressive way and second, to support financially the Senior Center. The history we have recorded here will not only be of pleasure, but also beneficial for our future generations.
This past Monday, J.D. and Julie Cage were honored by receiving their own picture and biography to hang on the wall. This was a Christmas gift given to the Cages’ by their children and grandchildren. Kenneth Henry, Chairman of this very successful project, made the presentation Monday during the noon meal.
The Bailey County Senior Citizen’s Center is a non-profit facility. Our mission is to provide healthy meals, activities and support for the well-being of our senior population.
If you are interested in surprising a special family member or friend—we would love to accommodate you. Call us at 272-4969 for more information.
