Pastors Eddie and Pat Trice along with the South Plains Church family are happy to welcome Marcos Witt to South Plains Church on Sunday October 27 for two powerful services. The first service will be a morning service at 1030 a.m. Marcos will be ministering in a second service that evening at 6 p.m. This will be the first time Marcos Witt has visited South Plains Church and the Levelland area. Marcos is a native of Texas as he was born in San Antonio. However, he was raised in Durango, Mexico most of his life being a child to missionaries. He studied music at Juarez University of Durango, and initiated his Theological studies at Institute Bible College in San Antonio.
Witt is considered the most influential and famous Spanish-speaking figure in Christian music. He is a five-time Latin Grammy Award winning Christian artist. Marcos, not only a singer/songwriter, is also known as an author, conference speaker and pastor. In the role of Pastor, he may be most well known in his former role as Pastor of the Spanish congregation at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX for Joel Osteen. In the literature area, he has written 10 books in Spanish, one of which was translated to English.
In 1986, Witt founded CanZion Productions. He has recorded 30 albums that are available on cassette, CD and DVD. He has sold over 27,000,000 copies of his records in the United States, Mexico and Latin America. Between 2009 and 2012, more than 3,000,000 people attended his concerts in some of the main venues in Latin America.
There will be two exciting services with Marcos Witt. The service will begin Sunday October 27th at 1030 a.m. with the doors opening at 9:30 a.m. The evening services will take place at 6 p.m., doors open at 5 p.m. Our amazing Children’s Ministry will be available for children ages 6 weeks through 4th grade during both service times. Our Children’s Ministry will have exciting and faith filled ministry available for your children each service with the theme, “Mega Kidz: Believe It or Not!”
