The Sudan Hornets’ Junior High cross country team competed in the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday.
Drew Lockhart won the meet placing first overall, clocking a time of 12:43.24. Matthew Lopez finished eighth with a time of 13:46.76 and Eddie Gonzales finished 13th with a time of 15:00.02.
Joseph Willeford finished 14th clocking a time of 15:22.57.

The Sudan Nettes’ Junior High cross country team competed in the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday, where they placed first overall with 43 points.
Addisyn Harrell led the team, placing fourth overall, while Arianna Sanchez placed sixth. Bonnie Reese finished 10th, while Edette Herrera finished 14th and Lauren Boehning finished 17th.
Melodia Rodriguez finished 19th, while Marissa Gonzales finished 23rd and Angelina Thorn finished 27th. Blessella Montes finished 32nd, while Journey Baker finished 35th and Amaris Hernandez finished 37th.
Valerie Centeno finished 38th, while Garicyn Bigham finished 39th. Kauy Carr finished 41st, and Brinley Magby finished 47th.

The Sudan Nettes’ JV cross country team competed in the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday.
Brianna Sanchez finished first overall, clocking a time of 15:27.09, while Elora Thorn finished second with a time of 15:47.80.
Liz Sital finished fourth with a time of 16:09.08, while Elaine Martinez finished sixth with a time of 16:31.39.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team competed in the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday where they finished third as a team with 63 points.
Beto Mendoza led the team, placing second overall with a time of 19:23.69. Josh Leal rounded out the top 10, finishing the three mile run with a time of 20:44.95.
Hunter Penrod finished 17th with a time of 23:28.74, while Triett Kerby finished 20th with a time of 24:26.75. Cash Hardin finished 21st with a time of 25:01.35 and Josue Cervera finished 22nd with a time of 26:19.04.
The team advanced to Regionals, which will be held on Oct. 28th at Mae Simmons in Lubbock.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team competed in the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday finishing as the District Runner-up with 40 points.
They were just edged out by Bovina for the District Championship, who finished with 37 points.
Kambry Tolbert led the Nettes finishing third overall with a time of 13:35.44. Hailey Flores placed sixth, clocking a time of 14:20.85, while Heidi Pinon-Muniz finished ninth with a time of 14:34.35.
Olivia Montes rounded out the top 10, clocking a time of 14:57.42. Gracyn Shultz finished 12th with a time of 15:02.83, while Stevi Lockhart finished 15th with a time of 15:25.45 and Yahaira Martinez finished 17th with a time of 15:34.91.
The team advanced to Regionals, which will be held on Oct. 28th at Mae Simmons in
Lubbock.
