If you have ever needed to call the Muleshoe Police Department, there’s a good chance that you spoke with Officer Delma Espinoza.
Muleshoe Police Chief Gary McHone announced that Espinoza was promoted from Communications Officer to Dispatch Supervisor at the City Council meeting on Monday, Dec. 9.
Espinoza has worked for the City of Muleshoe and the Muleshoe Police Department for almost 15 years. She holds an Advanced Telecommunicators License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. As a certified training officer, Espinoza helps train new employees and officers.
In addition to taking calls for the police department, the dispatcher handles 911 and EMS calls from around the area.
“Muleshoe is the primary dispatch center in our region,” McHone said.
