Two more candidates have added their names to a pool of those vying for positions on the Muleshoe Area Hospital District, Muleshoe ISD and Muleshoe City Council seats.
Gary Parker and Curtis Preston have announced their individual bids to re-run for Muleshoe City Council and Muleshoe ISD.
Parker is the incumbent for the City Council district four position. So far, he is unopposed.
Preston is the incumbent for the Muleshoe ISD district two position. He is running against Cory Contreras.
Muleshoe City Secretary Zanea Carpenter released an updated list of candidates for the 2020 city ballots on Tuesday morning.
Other names on the ballot include:
City Council
Earl Behrends, district three (incumbent)
Muleshoe Hospital District
Gayle Richerson, district one (incumbent)
Zona Gatewood, district five (incumbent)
Muleshoe ISD
Jeff King, district three (incumbent)
Jesus Tovar, Jr., district five (incumbent)
Kevin Morris, at large position (incumbent)
The Muleshoe Area Hospital District also has an open position for its district three seat but nobody has filed for it.
School Board terms are three years, hospital board terms are two and City Council terms are three years.
The deadline to file for a spot on the ballot is Friday at 5 p.m.
