Dalton Kasel, 2019 Professional Bull Riders Rookie of the Year was unable to compete in the Global Cup on Feb. 15-16 in Arlington, according to PBR publicist Kacie Albert.
In an item titled “Final Roster Changes Announced for 2020 PBR Global Cup USA,” Albert wrote, “Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) will be unable to make his Global Cup debut after re-aggravating a pre-existing groin injury at last weekend’s Iron Cowboy, presented by Ariat, major event in Los Angeles.”
The 21-year-old Kasel was replaced by Cole Melancon of Paris. The item says Melancon made history in winning his Unleash The Beast debut at the Iron Cowboy at STAPLES Center.
A graduate of Farwell High School, Kasel is the son of Tim and Kristin Kasel of Muleshoe.
