Jessica Maynerich, choir director at Muleshoe High School, announced that junior Braden Shipman recently advanced to the State Solo and Ensemble contest after singing the Regional competition at Frenship High School.
A bass vocalist, Braden sang “Gia is sole dal Gange” by Dominico Scarlatti. .
The son of Todd and Brenna Shipman, Braden also participates in band, debate, basketball and golf. He will sing again at Kelly Lane Middle School in Pflugerville on Monday, June 1.
Maynerich says there are 28 members in the choir this year.
