The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has extended the suspension of UIL sanctioned activities to May 4 as a result of heightened COVID-19 activity in Texas.

All contests, practices, rehearsals, and workouts are suspended until further notice, according to a news release from UIL.

As of right now, the first games and contests can resume on May 4, according to the news release. UIL will allow some time for rehearsals and practices for a specific designated period before that date.

As the outbreak evolves, UIL will continue to monitor and update about any changes.
