The Springlake-Earth Wolverines won their season-opener March 6th over the Morton Indians, 11-9.
Senior, Cole Royal, started the game for the Wolverines on the mound and hurled 11 strikeouts, while maintaining a 1.000 batting average. Sophomore, Evan DeLeon, closed out the game for Springlake-Earth and held a 1.000 on base percentage.
Head Coach Scott Royal added that sophomore, Brock Royal, had a batting average of .500 and 1.000 fielding average at first base and senior, Robert Mendoza, did a great job behind the plate at catcher, while batting .500 at the plate.
Sophomore, Trace Goodman, had a 1.000 on base percentage and sophomore, Davey Crandall had a batting average of .333 at the plate.
