Muleshoe ISD recognized its 2020 graduates with a formal outdoor ceremony on Friday making the district one of the first in the state to do so. Loved ones and the graduates gathered to celebrate but took precautions to maintain social distancing as the 76 graduates walked the stage. Governor Greg Abbott issued an order earlier this month allowing graduation ceremonies with modifications to comply with health precautions. COVID-19 case counts in many area counties have forced area schools to reschedule and/or further modify their graduation celebration plans to comply with health precautions.
