Two children and one adult walking along Ave. B in Muleshoe were injured Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle.

Muleshoe Police arrested 27-year-old Isidro Gutierrez and charged him with intoxication assault and leaving the scene of an accident involving an injury, both of which are third degree felonies.

Police and EMS officials responded to the 800 block of W. Ave. B at 9:46 p.m. in response to a call about a vehicle striking pedestrians. The three individuals who were struck were transported by Bailey County EMS to Muleshoe Area Medical with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gutierrez was booked into the Bailey County Detention Center. According to Muleshoe PD, there were three occupants in Gutierrez’s vehicle and they were all charged with related offenses.

The case remains under investigation.
