You can still visit cosmetology salons but there are some guidelines customers must follow ensure the safety of both cosmetologists and customers.
According to information released by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation, all customers must wear masks that cover the nose and mouth when setting foot in a salon. The guidelines also stipulate that six feet must be maintained by parties of different households. Everyone is also encouraged to practice good hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness and sanitation.
Customers are asked to disinfect their hands before entering a facility and interacting with anyone and after the payment process. Those who are 65 or older are also encouraged to stay home as much as possible.
Customers are encouraged to self-screen and look out for the following symptoms:
n Cough
n Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
n Chills
n Repeated shaking with chills
n Muscle pain
n Headache
n Sore throat
n Loss of taste or smell
n Diarrhea
n Feeling feverish or measuring a temperature of 100 degrees or higher
n Knowingly being in close contact with an individual who has a confirmed case of COVID-19
