WHITHARRAL 77, SUDAN 29 Hornets fall to 0-2 in loss to Panthers

The Sudan Hornets suffered a tough loss to the Whitharral Panthers, 77-29, on Dec. 1.

With the loss, the Hornets fell to 0-2 overall on the season.

Itwas a tight game in the first quarter, with the Panthers taking an early 3point lead into the second quarter.

In the second frame, the Panthers busted it open, outscoring the Hornets, 17-7, to take a 33-20 lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the second half, the Hornets were outscored 44-9 as they fell to the Panthers.

The Hornets were led in scoring by Abram Rodriguez, who finished with 11 points.

Michael Limon tallied 8 points, while Anthony Rodriguez added 6 points

and Josh Cervera finished with 4 points.

The Hornets were at New Deal on Saturday to take on the Lions. Results were not available at press time.

They continued their season on Tuesday with a home game against Lockney.

Results from that game were also not available as of press time.

Tipoff was scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
