Muleshoe Area Medical Center’s new Chief Nursing officer is settling into his new gig.
Morris Sharp started as CNO on May 10th, coming over from Clovis, New Mexico. Sharp graduated from the Clovis Community College nursing program in 2014 and earned his master’s degree in Nurse Administration and Leadership from Chamberlain University.
Starting his career in Clovis, Morris worked with patients with disabilities in home settings before moving to a hospital setting in 2014. From there, he worked his way into a Nursing Supervision role at PRMC in Clovis.
Morris began with the Muleshoe Area Medical Center last year, filling in on shifts on an as-needed basis. That’s when he found his future new home.
“I thought it would be a great opportunity to gain some more experience and really ended up falling in love with the atmosphere at MAMC,” Morris said in a news release. “The small community atmosphere and the willingness of everyone to do what needs to be done to provide great patient care is amazing.”
“Morris will do great in Muleshoe, his past experience and focus on patient centered care will be great addition to our team, I know he will build on the great things being done here at Muleshoe Area Medical Center,” said Dennis Fleenor, administrator at MAMC.
