NFL player Manny Ramirez will be in Muleshoe on Thursday to help send the 14U Lady Mule softball team to the Babe Ruth World Series.

Ramirez, a former Texas Tech football player and a former Detroit Lion, was in the NFL for 10 years. He is now the offensive line coach at Texas Southern University.

The 14U Lady Mule team, coached by Juan Sanchez, is set to play in the world series in Florida this weekend.

Ramirez will give the girls a pep talk and they’ll be sent off with a prayer. The community is invited to join at the high school softball fields at 6:30 p.m.
