Lady Mules finish as runner-ups at LCU Chaps High School Invitational     

            The Muleshoe Lady Mules’ cross country team placed second overall out of 36 teams in the small school division on Saturday with 156 points at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational.

            Sophomore, Angelina Armijo, led the team, finishing 25th overall with a time of 13:19.60, while junior, Mikaela Haseloff, finished 27th with a time of 13:21.30, and freshman, Vida Mora, finished 31st overall with a time of 13:26.30.

            Junior, Zabry Haseloff, finished 49th with a time of 13:45.30, while sophomore, Idaly Tarango, finished 57th with a time of 13:55.30, and Yvette Benavides finished 65th with a time of 14:01.30.

            Sophomore, Alexa Estrada finished 159th overall with a time of 15:41.30.

Sudan Hornets XC competes at LCU Chaps High School Invitational     

            The Sudan Hornets’ cross country team placed 28th overall out of 36 teams in the small school division with 686 points on Saturday at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational.

            The Hornets were led by Drew Lockhart, who finished 95th overall with a time of 20:08.40, while senior, Edgar Delgado, finished 154th with a time of 21:18.70.

            Sophomore, Jospeh Willeford, finished 172nd with a time of 21:56.90, while sophomore, Alan Flores, finished 189th with a time of 22:50.60. Senior, Michael Limon, finished 205th with a time of 23:11.90, while sophomore, Enrique Gonzalez, finished 208th with a time of 23:13.90.

            Junior, Josue Cervera, finished 255th overall with a time of 26:21.40.

            The Hornets will be in action again on Saturday, Sept. 18th at Whitharral.

Sudan Nettes finish 11th at LCU Chaps High School Invitational

            The Sudan Nettes’ cross country team placed 11th overall out of 36 teams in the small school division on Saturday at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational.

            Addisyn Harrell led the team, finishing 24th overall with a time of 13:17.60. Kambry Tolbert finished 66th with a time of 14:01.30, while Hailey Flores finished 81st with a time of 14:15.60, and Olivia Montes finished 101st with a time of 14:31.60.

            Heidi Pinion-Muniz finished 110th overall with a time of 14:40.30, while Elora Thorn finished 111th with a time of 14:41.60, and Edette Herrera finished 146th overall with a time of 15:26.80.

            The Nettes will be competing again on Sept. 18th at Whitharral.

Lady Wolverines place eighth at LCU Chaps High School Invitational

            The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ cross country team placed eighth overall out of 36 teams in the small school division on Saturday at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational.

            Taytum Goodman led the team placing first overall, with a time of 11:03.00, while Reagan Ethridge finished 32nd overall with a time of 13:27.80.

            DeDe Delgado finished 78th overall with a time of 14:12.60, while Emma Samaron finished 80th with a time of 14:14.80. Aryca Ibarra finished 105th with a time of 14:36.30, while Mahalia Delgado finished 143rd with a time of 15:22.80.

            Marisa Rodriguez finished 166th with a time of 15:54.10.

            The Lady Wolverines will be running again on Sept. 18th at Plainview.

Wolverines finish in top 20 at LCU Chaps High School Invitational

            The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ cross country team placed 20th overall out of 36 teams in the small school division with 553 points on Saturday at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational.

            They were led by senior, Josh Samaron, who finished 78th overall with a time of 19:46.90. Senior, Trace Goodman, finished 87th overall with a time of 20:01.40, while sophomore, Gavin Gonzales, finished 136th overall with a time of 20:56.70.

            Dadwin Perez finished 175th overall with a time of 22:07.20, while junior, Alex Alvarez, finished 176th overall with a time of 22:08.90. Nehemia Castillo finished 175th overall with a time of 22:10.90.

            The Wolverines will be in action again on Saturday, Sept 18th at Plainview.

Lazbuddie Lady Horns finish 23rd at LCU Chaps High School Invitational        

            The Lazbuddie Lady Horns’ cross country team placed 23rd overall out of 36 teams in the small school division on Saturday with 544 points at the LCU Chaps High School Invitational.

            Freshman, Madison Tyler, led the team finishing 48th overall with a time of 13:45.10, while freshman, Blaykin Branscum, finished 63rd overall with a time of 14:00.10, and freshman, Lauren Weaver, finished 72nd overall with a time of 14:08.00.

            Junior, Noemi Garcia, finished 216th overall with a time of 17:12.30, while freshman, Kobi Kirby, finished 254th with a time of 19:22.00.
