Lady Mules XC team places second at Plains Invitational
The Muleshoe Lady Mules and Mules’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Plains Invitational on Saturday, which was held at Yoakum County Park. The Lady Mules placed second overall with 48 points.
They were led by sophomore, Angelina Armijo, who placed 10th overall with a time of 13:54.7. Freshman, Vida Mora, finished 11th overall with a time of 13:56.8, while junior, Zabry Haseloff, finished 12th with a time of 14:09.6 and sophomore, Yvette Benevidas, finished 13th with a time of 14:13.4.
Junior, Mikaela Haseloff, finished 17th with a time of 14:24.4, while sophomore, Idaly Tarango, finished 24th with a time of 14:57.6, and sophomore, Alexa Estrada finished 31st with a time of 15:20.3.
On the boy’s side, sophomore, Sergio Magallanes, placed seventh overall with a time of 18:31.5, while senior, Oscar Cabrera, finished 31st with a time of 20:21.2.
Muleshoe will be competing again on Saturday at the Lubbock Invitational, which will be held at Mae Simmons Park.

Lazbuddie cross country teams run at Plains Invitational
The Lazbuddie Longhorns and Lady Horns’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park.
On the girl’s side, freshman, Madison Tyler, led the team, finishing fifth overall with a time of 13:02.74. Freshman, Blaykin Branscum finished 10th overall with a time of 13:30.46, while freshman, Lauren Weaver, finished 16th overall with a time of 13:50.48.
Freshman Kobi Kirby finished 81st with a time of 18:23.49.
On the boy’s side, sophomore, Jackson Gable, finished 17th with a time of 18:31.90.

S-E VARSITY MEDALISTS – The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Plainview Invitational. The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed third overall, first out of 1A schools.

Sophomore, Taytum Goodman, ran a blistering 10:52.14 to take first place overall at the event and she was joined in the top 10 by freshman, Reagan Ethridge, who placed seventh overall with a time of 13:04.43.
Sophomore, Emma Samaron, finished 18th overall with a time 13:59.07, while sophomore, DeDe Delgado, finished 27th with a time of 14:44.95. Aryca Ibarra finished 29th with a time of 14:48.16, while Marisella Rodriguez finished 40th overall with a time of 15:30.50.
Senior, Mahalia Delgado, finished 47th with a time of 15:43.13, while freshman, Jade Hill, finished 52nd with a time of 16:00.10. Senior, Kimberly Cruz, finished 55th overall with a time of 16:16.65, while sophomore, Jasmine Garcia, finished 71st overall with a time of 17:09.75.
The Lady Wolverines will be competing again on Sept. 25th at Lubbock at 1 p.m.

Senior, Josh Samaron, placed fifth overall with a time of 17:37.51, while senior, Trace Goodman, finished 15th with a time of 18:22.59. Sophomore, Gavin Gonzales, finished 26th overall with a time of 19:17.58, while junior, Alex Alvarez, finished 36th with a time of 19:58.41.
Dadwin Perez finished 38th with a time of 20:06.50, while Nehemia Castillo finished 44th with a time of 20:57.56 and senior, Dorian Samarron finished 67th with a time of 25:37.21.
The Lady Wolverines will be competing again on Sept. 25th at Lubbock at 1 p.m.
