Lady Mules XC team places second at Plains Invitational

                The Muleshoe Lady Mules and Mules’ varsity cross country teams competed at the Plains Invitational on Saturday, which was held at Yoakum County Park.  The Lady Mules placed second overall with 48 points.

                They were led by sophomore, Angelina Armijo, who placed 10^th overall with a time of 13:54.7. Freshman, Vida Mora, finished 11^th overall with a time of 13:56.8, while junior, Zabry Haseloff, finished 12^th with a time of 14:09.6 and sophomore, Yvette Benevidas, finished 13^th with a time of 14:13.4.

                Junior, Mikaela Haseloff, finished 17^th with a time of 14:24.4, while sophomore, Idaly Tarango, finished 24^th with a time of 14:57.6, and sophomore, Alexa Estrada finished 31^st with a time of 15:20.3.

                On the boy’s side, sophomore, Sergio Magallanes, placed seventh overall with a time of 18:31.5, while senior, Oscar Cabrera, finished 31^st with a time of 20:21.2.

                Muleshoe will be competing again on Saturday at the Lubbock Invitational, which will be held at Mae Simmons Park.

Lazbuddie cross country teams run at Plains Invitational

                The Lazbuddie Longhorns and Lady Horns’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park.

                On the girl’s side, freshman, Madison Tyler, led the team, finishing fifth overall with a time of 13:02.74. Freshman, Blaykin Branscum finished 10^th overall with a time of 13:30.46, while freshman, Lauren Weaver, finished 16^th overall with a time of 13:50.48.

                Freshman Kobi Kirby finished 81^st with a time of 18:23.49.

                On the boy’s side, sophomore, Jackson Gable, finished 17^th with a time of 18:31.90.

Lady Wolverines varsity XC team places third overall at Plainview Invitational

                The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed third overall, first out of 1A schools.

                Sophomore, Taytum Goodman, ran a blistering 10:52.14 to take first place overall at the event and she was joined in the top 10 by freshman, Reagan Ethridge, who placed seventh overall with a time of 13:04.43.

                Sophomore, Emma Samaron, finished 18^th overall with a time 13:59.07, while sophomore, DeDe Delgado, finished 27^th with a time of 14:44.95. Aryca Ibarra finished 29^th with a time of 14:48.16, while Marisella Rodriguez finished 40^th overall with a time of 15:30.50.

                Senior, Mahalia Delgado, finished 47^th with a time of 15:43.13, while freshman, Jade Hill, finished 52^nd with a time of 16:00.10. Senior, Kimberly Cruz, finished 55^th overall with a time of 16:16.65, while sophomore, Jasmine Garcia, finished 71^st overall with a time of 17:09.75.

                The Lady Wolverines will be competing again on Sept. 25^th at Lubbock at 1 p.m.

                S-E Wolverines finish third overall at Plainview Invitational

                The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed third overall, first out of 1A schools.

                Senior, Josh Samaron, placed fifth overall with a time of 17:37.51, while senior, Trace Goodman, finished 15^th with a time of 18:22.59. Sophomore, Gavin Gonzales, finished 26^th overall with a time of 19:17.58, while junior, Alex Alvarez, finished 36^th with a time of 19:58.41.

                Dadwin Perez finished 38^th with a time of 20:06.50, while Nehemia Castillo finished 44^th with a time of 20:57.56 and senior, Dorian Samarron finished 67^th with a time of 25:37.21.

                The Lady Wolverines will be competing again on Sept. 25^th at Lubbock at 1 p.m.
